Dr. Robert V. Ford III is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina where he attended Wake Forest University for his undergraduate degree, majoring in history. Dr. Ford always aspired to become a physician like his father and attended Wake Forest University School of Medicine. He and his family moved to Knoxville in 2016 to complete his residency at The University of Tennessee Medical Center in Family Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year.

Dr. Ford and his wife, Caitlin Torney, live in Knoxville with their two sons and two dogs. The family enjoys exploring Knoxville and can be found at the downtown farmer’s market on the weekends, at a local park, or looking for treasures at antique stores in the area.
